Neoregelia 'Rays Black Knight' (Large) – Dark Bromeliad for Vivariums | India

💰 Price per plant: ₹1000

Neoregelia 'Rays Black Knight' is a large, dramatic bromeliad with dark, near-black foliage — a bold, moody statement plant for big vivariums, paludariums and feature displays. The dark tones are strongest in good light, and like all Neoregelias it holds water in a central cup.

Care at a glance

• Light: bright, indirect light keeps the foliage darkest.
• Humidity: high — loves vivariums and humid setups.
• Watering: keep the central cup topped with clean water; mist occasionally.
• Climate: easy indoors across India year round.

Where it thrives

A large feature plant for spacious vivariums, the planted land zone of a paludarium, or a big display; a moody centrepiece rather than a small-terrarium plant. Its cup suits dart-frog vivariums. Grow it emersed, above the waterline — it is not aquatic and must not be submerged.

Why you will love it

Near-black foliage is rare and striking — it makes a powerful dark anchor in a planted scene.

FAQ

How do I keep it dark?

Give it bright, indirect light; low light fades the dark tones towards green.

Can it go underwater?

No — grow it above the waterline in the land/emersed zone.
