Cryptanthus 'Ruby Star' (bivittatus) is a small terrestrial 'earth star' with a ruby-red rosette and paler central striping — a colourful, ground-hugging foreground plant for closed terrariums and vivariums. Cup-free and compact, it grows flat in the substrate, ideal for miniature setups.
