Cryptanthus 'Pink Star' (bivittatus) is a small terrestrial bromeliad — an 'earth star' that hugs the ground in a flat, pink-striped rosette, perfect for the foreground of closed terrariums and vivariums. Unlike urn bromeliads it has no water-holding cup; it grows in the substrate and stays compact, making it ideal for miniature, closed setups.
