Which tanks is it best for?
The WRGB II Slim suits planted and high-tech aquascapes where you want strong, controllable, show-quality light in a slim profile. With app control and full WRGB spectrum it supports demanding plants (alongside CO2 and dosing) and renders colour beautifully. For even higher output, see the WRGB II Pro. Learn the spectrum differences in WRGB vs RGB vs full spectrum and read our planted aquarium lighting guide.
How to use it
Rest the light on the tank, pair it in the My Chihiros app, and set a 7–8 hour photoperiod (up to 8–10 with CO2) with gradual sunrise/sunset. Always include a dark night period and keep the tank out of direct sun. Do not immerse the light or adaptor in water, and use a drip loop. See how many hours should aquarium lights be on.
Frequently asked questions
Does the WRGB II Slim have app control?
Yes. A built-in Bluetooth controller and the My Chihiros app let you adjust brightness, colour channels, schedules and sunrise/sunset.
Is it good for planted tanks?
Yes. Its full WRGB spectrum and high intensity suit planted and high-tech aquascapes, with CO2 and dosing for demanding plants.
How is it different from the WRGB II Pro?
The Slim emphasises a minimalist profile; the Pro uses 4-in-1 WRGB chips for even higher output for the most demanding high-tech tanks.
Can I set sunrise and sunset?
Yes. The app programs gradual sunrise/sunset transitions, which are gentler on fish than abrupt on/off switching.
How many hours should I run it?
7–8 hours for a planted tank, up to 8–10 with CO2, with a dark night period.
