Blue Pet XF-2834 Air Stone Filter - Ultra Small Sponge Filter
The Blue Pet XF-2834 is an ultra-small air-stone sponge filter for nano and betta tanks from 1 to 10 gallons, giving clean, highly oxygenated water and a gentle current in setups where space is tight. Air-driven and tiny, it draws water through a bio-sponge that traps debris and hosts beneficial bacteria — the ideal filter for desktop aquariums, quarantine tanks, fish bowls and betta habitats where a full-size filter simply will not fit.
Why choose the Blue Pet XF-2834?
- Ultra-small footprint for nano tanks, bowls and quarantine setups.
- Gentle current that betta and fry tolerate well.
- Mechanical + biological filtration from the bio-sponge.
- Strong oxygenation from fine air-stone bubbles.
- Very low running cost, air-driven and quiet.

Which tanks is it best for?
The XF-2834 is made for the smallest setups — 1 to 10 gallon nano tanks, betta habitats, fish bowls, desktop aquariums and quarantine tanks. For tanks larger than ~10 gallons, step up to the Bluepet XF-2835 or XF-280. It needs an air pump and airline.
How to set it up
Connect airline from a small air pump, place the filter in the tank, and let the air-stone bubbles draw water through the sponge. Keep it running 24/7 and rinse the sponge in old tank water (never tap water) when flow slows. See how aquarium filters work.
Frequently asked questions
What size tank is the XF-2834 for?
Nano tanks from 1 to 10 gallons — betta tanks, bowls, desktop and quarantine setups.
Is it gentle enough for a betta?
Yes. The gentle current suits betta and fry, which dislike strong flow.
Do I need an air pump?
Yes. It is air-driven and needs a small air pump and airline (not included).
Does it oxygenate the water?
Yes. The air-stone produces fine bubbles that boost oxygen levels well.
How often should I clean it?
Rinse the sponge in old tank water when flow drops, usually every few weeks.
