Aechmea 'Vista' is a clean, architectural bromeliad with a tidy, symmetrical rosette that suits modern terrariums, vivariums and paludariums. Aechmeas are epiphytic bromeliads (family Bromeliaceae, the same tropical group as the pineapple) that hold water in a central vase, or cup, rather than feeding mainly through the roots. That makes 'Vista' an easy, forgiving tropical bromeliad: keep the cup topped, give bright light, and its glossy rosette stays full and balanced.

Origin and form

Aechmeas come from the forests of Central and South America, growing on trees in bright, filtered light. 'Vista' forms glossy green, gently arching leaves in a clean, symmetrical vase, giving it a modern, architectural look that anchors a planted scene.
