Why Shrimp Exotic Food works for Caridina shrimp

• Made for sensitive species: Caridina shrimp are less forgiving than cherry shrimp, so the recipe is gentle, soft and low in waste.
• Colour and pigment ingredients: Dunaliella salina, red paprika and carophyll are listed and may help colour in red and orange grades.
• Molting support: chitosan, shrimp meal and omega oils are included to support healthy shell shedding.
• Garlic and spirulina: added to support appetite and general condition.
• Slow-dissolving pellets: the soft texture is designed to reduce leftover residue and the ammonia that follows overfeeding.

Who it is for (and who should pick something else)

Choose this food if you keep Caridina shrimp in an aquascaped or breeding tank. If your colony is Neocaridina, such as Red Cherry, Blue Dream or Yellow Golden Back, Life AAYU Shrimp Regular Food 30g is the better match. If you only want a trial size, there is also the 15g Shrimp Exotic Food pack. This is a shrimp feed, so it is not meant as the main diet for fish. Shrimp also graze on biofilm and algae, so a mature planted tank needs less feeding than a new one.

How to feed

• Follow the "1, 2 ka 4" formula: 1 pellet for every 4 shrimp, twice a day.
• Feed only what the shrimp finish in 2 to 3 minutes and remove uneaten food.
• For baby shrimp or breeding tanks, start with micro portions and increase as the colony grows.
• Adjust portions by tank size, colony growth and water flow.
• Keep the pack in a cool, dry place and reseal it after every use.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I buy Life AAYU Shrimp Exotic Food online in India?

You can buy it online from Fish Bazaar as a 30g starter pack, delivered across India. We send a video of your product before it ships. Message us on WhatsApp at +91 91523 30102 if you need help choosing between the exotic and regular shrimp foods.

Is this good for Crystal Red and Taiwan Bee shrimp?

Yes, it is made for Caridina species including Crystal Red, Crystal Black, Taiwan Bee and Pinto shrimp. Feed small portions, because sensitive grades react quickly to leftover food and poor water quality.

What is the difference between Shrimp Exotic Food and Shrimp Regular Food?

Exotic Food is aimed at Caridina shrimp like CRS and CBS, with Dunaliella salina and chitosan. Regular Food is aimed at hardier Neocaridina such as Red Cherry shrimp. Pick the one that matches your species.

How much should I feed my shrimp?

Give 1 pellet for every 4 shrimp, twice a day, and remove anything left after 2 to 3 minutes. If pellets are still there after a few hours, cut the portion down. Less is safer than more for Caridina.

Will it help my shrimp molt and breed?

It contains chitosan, shrimp meal, omega oils and vitamins that may help support molting and breeding. Stable water parameters matter just as much, so test your water if molts or breeding are not going well.

Can I feed it to baby shrimp?

Yes, crush the pellet into fine pieces and feed micro portions. Baby shrimp also pick at biofilm, so do not overfeed. Increase the amount slowly as the colony grows.
