Why Bacter Boost Plus works for new and established tanks

• Seeds beneficial bacteria. These bacteria colonise filter media and surfaces and break down fish waste, which is the basis of the nitrogen cycle.
• Supports ammonia and nitrite control. A healthy bacterial colony is what turns toxic ammonia and nitrite into less harmful compounds, so it helps keep water readings steadier.
• Helps with cloudy water. When waste build-up is the cause, a well-populated biological filter helps break it down.
• Useful after disturbance. Dosing after a filter clean or a large water change helps replace bacteria you may have removed.
• Shrimp and invertebrate safe, so you can use it in shrimp tanks, planted tanks and mixed community setups.

Who it is for (and who should pick something else)

Choose it if you are cycling a new tank, restarting a filter, or want extra biological support after maintenance. It suits freshwater tanks with fish, shrimp or both.

It is a water care product, not a remedy for sick fish and not a substitute for a filter, regular water changes or sensible stocking. If fish look unwell, test ammonia, nitrite and nitrate first. How to use Bacter Boost Plus

• Shake the bottle well before every dose.
• Dose at a new setup, after water changes and after filter cleaning, following the label for your tank volume.
• For a new tank, test ammonia and nitrite every few days with a liquid test kit and keep feeding light while the tank matures.
• Storage: keep the bottle cool and dry, away from direct sunlight, and close the cap tightly after use.

What does an aquarium bacteria starter do?

It adds beneficial bacteria that break down fish waste, helping the biological filter handle ammonia and nitrite. In a new tank it supports the cycling process, and in an established tank it helps rebuild bacteria lost during filter cleaning or big water changes.

Is Bacter Boost Plus safe for shrimp?

Yes, it is made to be shrimp and invertebrate safe, so it can be used in shrimp tanks and mixed community aquariums. Always follow the label dose for your tank size and test your water, since shrimp are sensitive to ammonia and nitrite.

How often should I add beneficial bacteria to my aquarium?

Dose at the start of a new setup, after water changes and after cleaning the filter, as directed on the label. A stable, well-cycled tank needs it less often. Test ammonia and nitrite to decide whether extra support is needed.

Will it clear cloudy aquarium water?

It may help when cloudiness comes from waste build-up or an immature filter, because bacteria help break down organic waste. Cloudy water has other causes too, such as overfeeding or dust from new substrate, so reduce feeding and check your filter as well.

How long does a new aquarium take to cycle?

Most tanks take around four to six weeks to cycle fully, although a bacteria starter can support the process. The only reliable check is a test kit: ammonia and nitrite should read zero while nitrate appears.
