CHIHIROS A II HANGING ROPE KIT

The Chihiros A II Hanging Rope Kit lets you suspend your Chihiros A II aquarium light from a ceiling or overhead shelf — freeing the tank rim, giving a cleaner minimalist look, and making aquarium maintenance dramatically easier.

Why hang your aquarium light

• Free the tank rim. No light fixture blocking your access. Water changes, plant trimming, feeding and substrate work all become effortless.
• Adjustable height. Raise the light for a lower-PAR softer glow, or lower it for high-intensity growth. Height control = PAR control.
• Clean aquascape aesthetic. A suspended light with no visible fixture on the tank is the signature look of professional planted-tank showcases.
• Better cooling. A suspended fixture has better airflow than one clamped to the rim — extends LED lifespan.

• 2 × steel suspension ropes
• Rope thickness: 1.2 mm
• Rope length: 2 metres each (trim to suit)
• Attachment hardware for the light fixture

Installation

1. Fix a ceiling hook, overhead shelf hook or beam clamp above your aquarium (not included — available at most hardware shops).
2. Attach the supplied ropes to the mounting points on your Chihiros A II light.
3. Suspend the light at your desired height above the tank surface — typically 20–40cm for planted tanks.
4. Adjust rope length to level the light and set your target PAR.

FAQ

Will it work with other Chihiros lights?

The mounting points are designed specifically for the A II series. For other Chihiros models (Commander, WRGB, B Series, etc.), message us on chat and we’ll confirm compatibility.

Do I need to drill anything?

You don’t drill the light — the ropes attach to existing mounting points. You will need a ceiling hook or overhead attachment point above your aquarium.

How strong is the rope?

1.2mm braided steel — rated for well above the weight of any Chihiros A II light. Very strong, low visual profile.

Can I use it outdoors or in humid setups?

Steel ropes will be fine in typical aquarium humidity. For heavily humid setups (open paludariums), rinse and dry occasionally to prevent surface tarnish.
