Where to position the heater
- Near flow: next to the filter outlet or inlet, so moving water carries heat around the tank - this is the biggest factor in even temperature.
- Low and angled or horizontal: heat rises, so mounting low warms the whole water column.
- Fully submerged to the heater's minimum water line - never run it partly exposed.
Getting an even temperature
